Moon Musing

This is what I think about when I look at this 24″x24″ acrylic moon that I painted?

When you look at the moon, you see the sun’s light reflected off of it. It could be said that if you have seen the moon you have seen the sun. In that sense, the sun and the moon are one. However, the sun is greater in size than the moon. The moon is a dead rock that reflects the sun light.

The heavens declare a spiritual message

We are being shown graphically in the heavens what someone wants us to see spiritually here on earth. That is, look to the reflector of the light, not to the source of the light. When you look at the moon realize that you are seeing a graphic representation of what the bible talks about when it says that we are separated from the light hence, we can only look to the reflector of the light.

The sun, moon and stars as it relates to: John 14:9 and Matthew 24:29 in the Bible.

1. The sun is larger than the moon (“The Father is greater than I am”). Jesus did not want us to think that the Creator of the universe was the size of a man.
2. The light that we see coming from the sun and the moon are the same (“I and the Father are one” and ” if you have seen me you have seen him”).
3. The actual light itself is the Holy Ghost — it widely exists; therefore, it has no form.
4. The heavens also show our separation from God in that we are unable to look directly at the sun (the Father).
5. Our only moon implies that there is only one Savoir who enables us see the Father (sun).

Although the heavens declare man’s separation from God, they also declare that He has not abandoned us because if He had, there would be no moon (light) to help us see in the night. God has shown us by way of his word, by His Son, and by the heavens, hence, there is no excuse for not knowing Him.

The signs that are shown to us in the heavens (sun and moon) surround us every day. The sun (God the Father) saves us from the darkness (being lost) every day. Whether you realize it or not, you look for the light every day to save you from the darkness; realize that God is the light, and His Son Jesus Christ is the one that saves you from the darkness. However, you still cannot look directly at the Father but by way of Jesus the Christ (the moon).

There will come a day when the heavens will not declare salvation.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven.”

When judgment comes, there is no salvation during that time of because the moon (Jesus) no longer gives light to save us from the darkness, and the Father also won’t be found because the sun will be darkened. So, when you read in the bible that the sun will be darkened and the moon will no longer give its light, it’s referring to Jesus and God the Father not extending light/salvation anymore — judgment has come!

Note: Don’t take everything literally that that Bible says. Why? If the sun and moon were to go out, Jesus could not come back to rule for a thousand years.
